Irene and all,
Know that we who have been praying for a smooth transition into the next life for John will now be praying for comfort for you as you mourn the loss. His knowledge of blacksmithing and his skill with his hands were rare and irreplaceable. He could remove a broken part from a machine, determine the forces which were putting stress on it and either repair it or make a replacement part which was often stronger than the original. He was able to make those kinds of repairs for everything from the hubs of wooden-spoked wagon wheels to parts for combines, balers, et cetera. The world transitioned from horse drawn transportation to exploration of space during his lifetime and as those changes were brought into his life, he learned from them as needed to make a significant contribution to the welfare of those around him. He was a blessing to many in the surrounding area. Be proud of what he was to the community. Trust & obey, E. C. Springer
