Joseph Dean “Lil’ Joe” Tackett, Sr., age 46, resident of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 9, 1966 in Martin, Kentucky. Lil’ Joe was a jack of all trades when it came to working, but he was most proud of following in his father’s footsteps, becoming a mechanic. He loved music and playing his guitar. Lil’ Joe would try his best to be the center of attention. He enjoyed cooking and making people happy but most of all, Lil’ Joe’s entire world revolved around his children and grandchildren.
Lil’ Joe is survived by his father and step mother, Joe and Ellie Tackett of Willard; three children, Nichole Lynn Tackett, Joseph Dean Tackett, Jr., and Breland James Tackett, all of Willard; numerous step children; numerous grandchildren; two sisters, JoAnn (Jesse) Moore of Willard and Melissa (Raymond) Rice of Kentucky; one brother, Eddie Dean Tackett of Mansfield; companion, Lori-Ann Plato Tackett; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Violet Dean (Hall) Tackett
Friends may call on Monday, April 8, 2013 from 4-8 PM and Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from 9 AM to 8 PM at the Freewill Baptist Church, where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 11:30 AM, with Rev. Ron Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Willard. Memorial contributions can be made to his father, Joe Tackett or be taken to First Merit Bank, in memory of Joseph Tackett. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.

I love and miss you so much dad, I understand you are in a better place and you are no longer suffering, its still so hard to come to terms with you being gone tho. O how i wish i could just talk to you one more time, hear you sing and play your guitar just one more time. Please continue to watch over me n the kids. I Love You!
