Family of Katy – Katy was so dear to me and I was so sad to hear of her passing! Fr. George told me on Tuesday morning (I am the office manager at St. Bernard Parish) of her death and I was shocked. I’m so glad I called her two weeks ago to check in with her and I got to talk to her a bit and she told me she wasn’t feeling very well. She stopped at my house many times, to drop off some empty egg cartons or this or that, and I loved sharing some garden produce or some of our farm fresh eggs with her. I will miss her so much; Katy had a special place in my heart. I will come to her service, whenever that is determined. May Katy rest in eternal peace in God’s heavenly kingdom.
