Nate was one of my best friends in my life. I remember so many things about him when we were growing up together. He and I were immediately friends when we met in 4th grade at Greenfield Elementary. I remember staying at his house, playing football and basketball with all of the Sanders family and other friends. We rode ATVs. I ate dinner with the family, said prayers before the meals, and we had a great childhood. We were mascots for the Willard Varsity Basketball team together with Paul Bores. We have been friends ever since – boating, driving, working, and acting a fool. We did it all together for a very long time, and I will always remember him as the fun-loving, big teddy bear that he was. He always laughed at my jokes – and his laugh would then make everyone else laugh. I already miss him. I didn’t get to say goodbye. I love the whole Sanders family. They always treated me like one of their own. I love you, my brother, I miss you. Your friend, Jon
