Dear Fikes, It is Easter Sunday and I just finished catching up reading the last three days worth of newspapers. Needless to say, I was terribly saddened to learn of Mike’s passing. I have such wonderful memories of coaching your boys in flag football at the YMCA, and I think of all those great times very, very often. Honor and celebrate Mike’s life; be eternally grateful for the time you had together, and; always remember. This is all that any of us left behind can do. Only by doing these things do we keep our loved ones alive and close to us in our hearts, our minds, and our souls. Only then do they never really leave us. Your pain is more than I could ever imagine but please know that God still truly loves all of you and has a plan for all of you, and that Mike is in His loving care now and forever.
