In Loving Memory of Douglas C. Osborne: The King of Dad Jokes and Road Trips 04/24/1966 - 01/27/2025

If heaven needed a truck driver who could also play a mean guitar, they’ve just hit the jackpot. Doug cruised his way out of this world on January 27th 2025, leaving behind a trail of laughter, love, and stories that will keep us smiling for years to come.

Doug’s life was a highway—literally. As an over-the-road truck driver, he was always on the move, clocking more miles than anyone could count. But no matter where his wheels took him, his heart always stayed with his family: his devoted wife Debbie, and his kids, Jessica, Leandra, Joshua, Cheyenne, Amanda, Derrick, and Christopher. As well as 27 grand children.

When Doug wasn’t hauling freight, he was hauling out his guitar, strumming his favorite tunes while his daughters sang along, creating unforgettable family jam sessions. And if you ever had the honor of hearing Doug tell a joke (or five), you know that laughter was his love language. His wit was as sharp as his driving skills, and his jokes—good, bad, and “Dad joke” level—were legendary.

Doug loved life, music, and making people laugh, but most of all, he loved his family. He taught us to find joy in the little things, like a good song, a great road trip, or the perfect punchline.

A celebration of Doug’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio, where stories, laughter, and a few of his greatest hits on the guitar will surely fill the room. In Doug’s honor, we encourage everyone to tell a joke, play some music, and enjoy life just a little more—because that’s what he would’ve wanted.

Rest easy, Doug. The roads are wide open, and the jokes are endless where you are now. You’ll forever be our favorite co-pilot.

Condolences

Words cannot express how much I’m going to miss Doug. He’d call me and say “hey Shelly”then he’d start the joke. Some were good and some were terrible, I’d tell him “Doug you need to stop” and he would laugh his infectious laugh. Rest in Peace Doug, keep an eye on us all down here and tell your jokes!! Job well done.
