Adrian B. Adams, age 84, of New Haven, Ohio, passed away on February 1, 2025 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 31, 1940 in Honaker, Kentucky. Adrian was a 1961 graduate of Willard High School, after graduation he was employed by RR Donnelley and worked there for nearly 40 years. His love for sports is clearly evident, from playing basketball and football in his younger years to being part of the 1967 state championship-winning softball team with his coworkers. His enthusiasm for basketball, baseball, bowling, golf, and his favorite teams, like the Cleveland Indians and Ohio State Buckeyes, made for some fun conversations. He enjoyed collecting and trading sports cards along with playing cards with friends. He loved his family. He is survived by his children, Jason Adams, Dannell (Ben) Buchanan, Michelle (Noel) Kidd, Lester (Wendy) Ramey; 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and brother Randall “Monk” Adams.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hershel and Ann (Kidd) Bolen, and sister Darnell Shatzer.
Calling hours will be on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Additional calling hours will be on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his funeral service starting at 11:00 a.m. at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio with Ben Buchanan and Noel Kidd officiating.
