John S. Heydinger, age 91, lifelong resident of Tiro, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at the Willow's in Willard.  He was born on May 6, 1934 to the late Sylvester and Eleanor (Miller) Heydinger and had been a resident of Tiro all of his life. John proudly served our country in the United States Army. John worked and retired from GM in Mansfield after 34 years as a tool maker. He was a faithful member of Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in North Auburn and the Knights of Columbus. John enjoyed being outdoors and spend his time going deer and mushroom hunting, going fishing and spending time in his garden. He loved to watch all sports, whether it was on tv or at one of his grandkid’s events. Above all else, John loved to spend time with his loving family and grandkids.

He is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Sharon Graffice of Sidney and Jennifer and Thomas Kiser of Piqua, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Deb Heydinger of Willard and daughter-in-law Holly (Rick) Weir of Tiro; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brother, Marvin Heydinger of Ontario; and a sister, Carma Siesel of Ontario; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen M. Heydinger who passed away on January 18, 2021; his son Matthew Heydinger; a brother, Neil Heydinger and a sister, Lois Faeth.

Calling hours will be on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Secor Funeral Home in New Washington, Ohio from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. John’s Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in North Auburn, Ohio with Fr. Eric Mueller officiating. Burial will follow at North Auburn Catholic Cemetery in North Auburn, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church.
