Jennifer Ann "Maw" Beard age 75 of Attica, Ohio passed away Friday, March 13, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born March 20, 1950 in Willard, Ohio to the late Ernest and Beatrice (Covert) Featheringill.  She grew up being a 4-H member where she rode her favorite barrel horse "Rebel" in the contest classes and later in life became a 4-H advisor for 20 years.  She was a former member of the Clyde Eagles.  She loved crafts and sewing, where she made all her kids blankets and baby bibs.  She loved camping with her family as well as going on vacation with them to Florida.  Some of her most precious times were spending time with her kids and grandkids, and taking buggy rides with her husband and grandkids and her dog "Bella".

Maw is survived by her husband, James Eugene Beard, whom she married on April 9, 1968 and children, Brian (Carla) Featheringill, Lori Shade (deceased), Joshua (Tammy) Beard, Amanda (William) Zellner, Jason (Laura) Beard, Jeremy (Andrea) Beard and Brenda Hattaway;  26 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren to be expected;  siblings, Jeff (Barbara) Featheringill, James (Karen) Featheringill, John Featheringill (deceased) and Joel (Caroline) Featheringill.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Beatrice Featheringill; daughter, Lori Shade; granddaughter, Amber Claytor and brother, John Featheringill.

Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements and there will be a private graveside service at the Omar Cemetery at a later date.  Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.

She always gave the best hugs.. and advice. Her strength, encouragement and determination was one of many things I admired about her. She always said hello with a hug and took time to talk with me. I'm so glad I was apart of her life she was such a wonderful friend.
