Maryann Hass, age 84, of Palmyra, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. She was born July 12, 1941, in Shelby, Ohio to the late Glenn & Elsie (Blum) Hass and had been a Lorain, Ohio resident most of her life. She was a 1959 graduate of Plymouth High School and a 1965 graduate of Bowling Green State University with a B.S. in Education. Maryann was a 5th grade teacher at Sheffield Lake Elementary School for 28 years. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Plymouth, Palm Lutheran Church in Palmyra, PA, the Lorain County Retired Teachers and enjoyed reading and crafting.
She is survived by two nephews, Bradley Hass, wife Tracy, and Brian Hass, wife Maxine, and two great nieces Caitlyn and Courtney Hass; all from Palmyra, PA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert (Bobby) Hass, and sister-in-law Sandra Hass.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 11:00 AM until the time of her funeral service at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jermey Lambert officiating.
