Edna B. Childers, age 93, of Willard, Ohio passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at the Willows at Willard. She was born on November 12, 1932 in Garrett, Kentucky to the late Hiram and Ella (Centers) Hicks.
Edna was retired from Uncle Dudley’s and enjoyed gardening, crafts and reading. She loved having her family together for holidays and special events.
Edna is survived by two daughters, Karen Montgomery of Raleigh, NC and Kim (Bob) Reed of Willard; two sons, Gordon (Sue) Childers of Dover, Delaware and Gary “Bugsy” Childers of Plymouth, Ohio; five grandsons; two great grandsons and three great granddaughters; two great-great grandsons; a sister, Lenoka Yoakam; and three brothers, Charles (Ofilia) Hicks, Larry Hicks and Jerry (Yvonne) Hicks.
In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Childers; sisters, Midge Hughes and Nadine Fry; and brothers, Mitchell Hicks, Bill Hicks, Bob Hicks, Jackie Hicks, Alden Hicks and Ernest Paul Hicks.
Family and friends may visit at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM with her funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM with Rev. James Pomerich officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Willard. Memorial contributions can be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
