Douglas F. Tallman, age 66, longtime resident of Greenwich, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at his home. He was born on June 9, 1959 in Shelby Ohio to the late Richard and Kathleen (Workman) Tallman.

A Plymouth High School graduate, Doug went on to attend Lincoln College of Technology in Indiana. He was the owner of Mansfield Transmission and a GM master technician for many years before retiring in 2023. He was an avid vintage garden tractor and vintage engine collector as well as a historian of many things.  If you couldn’t find him at a show or swap meet he could be found having breakfast every morning at Uncle Dudley’s with great friends, or shooting pool for lunch at the Mansfield Liederkranz where he was an active member.

Doug is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Nicole Tallman; five grandchildren, Emelia, Anderson and Nolan Tallman, and Hunter and Hayden Shepherd; sister, Angie (Lanny) Seaman; and three nephews, Lance (Kristin), Tyler (Alicia) and Logan (Maya) Seaman.

In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Tallman.

All family and friends are invited to celebrate Doug’s life on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at the Mansfield Liederkranz, 1212 Silver Lane, Mansfield, Ohio 44903 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Private burial will be taking place at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh, Ohio. Secor Funeral Home is honored to be assisting with Doug’s funeral services.

Gone too soon. Doug could tell you about any tractor or engine was a wealth of knowledge, but more than that he had a special gift of laughter he always had a smile. I would read his posts they always made me smile. Prayers for his family and friends. Rest in peace Doug.

I will have all the memories of our spent talking debating and downright arguing about tractors. Doug was a great friend and an absolute inspiration to me when I was starting out in this hobby of junk collecting LOL. May he be remembered through the many many people he helped
