Barbara Picklesimer, a caring mother, a dedicated grandmother, a foundation of a family, departed earth and was called home on Thursday, October 8, 2026.
Barbara dedicated her life to raising five children, Melissa Lacy of Willard, Rebecca Lacy of Arkansas, Matthew Lacy of Kentucky, Jeffery (Mindy) Lacy of Shelby, and Keith (Sarah) Picklesimer of Willard with her dearly missed late husband, Richard Picklesimer.
Her role of being a mother was amplified when she found out she was going to be a grandmother to Sarah Barnett, Erin Barnett, Hallie Dabash, Genevieve Lacy, Caleb Lacy, Kyler Lacy, and Benjamin Lacy.
In addition to being a cherished grandmother Barbara became a great grandmother to Anastasiya Bowling, Meadow Salazar, Amora Baldridge, twin great granddaughters, Violet and Maeva Salazar whom she absolutely adored with her being.
She is known for having a warm, loving home, and her unremarkable cooking, specifically her famous macaroni salad.
Beyond always putting her family first, Barbara enjoyed the company and laughter of a special friend, Angie Stover, having love for a deck of cards, and watching her favorite soap operas, The Young and the Restless and The Bold and Beautiful.
Barbara leaves behind three siblings, Sheila Taylor of Willard, Donnie Lawrence of Willard, and Tina Furr of Shelby and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara is reunited with her husband Richard Picklesimer, parents, Eugene and Goldie Lawrence, her bothers, Ronnie Lawrence, and Johnny Lawrence, a sister in law, Shawanna Lawrence, a brother in law, Robert Furr, and a nephew, Mikey Lawrence.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 12, 2026 from 4pm to 7pm at the Willard Church of God. A service will begin at 7pm with Pastor Greg Griffith officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to Alzheimer's Association.

Tears of sorrow that we will not see your beautiful face here on this earth. But tears of joy knowing we will see that beautiful face when we are called to our eternal home. You are an amazing aunt and like a 2nd mom to me growing up. Your beauty inside lit up your outside beauty. I love you aunt Barb. Iβll never forget your kind and loving heart. And not to forget your delicious hobbies and pancakes with the most perfect crispy edges.
