Leave a message of condolence

Marsha Russell McQuown, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and laughter.

Marsha was born on September 5, 1946, in Shiloh, Ohio to Leo Bricker Russell and Jean Lucille Brumbach Russell and grew up there. After graduating from Plymouth High School in 1964, she married John “Craig” McQuown on October 23, 1965, beginning a long life together.

Marsha spent most of her career serving her community professionally at the First National Bank of Shelby where she began as a part time teller later earning promotions to become manager of the North Gamble Street branch.

Family was central to Marsha’s life. She thoroughly enjoyed the time they spent together and took particular delight in watching her two grandsons grow. Her kindness, sense of humor, and steady presence left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Craig; her son, Steve, of Columbus, Ohio; her daughter, Erin (Steven) Loranger, of Westport, Connecticut; and her grandsons, PJ and Will.

A private graveside service for family will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery in Shiloh at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Reserve Care (formerly Hospice of the Western Reserve).
