My mother{bureda hicks} and father {archie greathouse lived in wayland ky and got to be very close to savel and his wife,When we were raised Savel was like our 2nd father.He never turned away when we needed him., From young to now we are older,when we saw him he always had that beautiful smile and shining face no matter how he felt. Savel only thought of others, took time for us no matter what. God called his angel home and only god knows how much we miss him.
Savel preached at my son’s funeral after he was killed on july-7-1999 at the age of 15, even after just loosing his own child only a few months before. He had to be there in my eyes or i would not have felt right even if he could have only sit beside me i would have still been satisfied just felling the love and peace he always gave.
To all his family and wife, I AM SO SORRY FOR SUCH A GREAT LOSS YOU HAVE SUFFERED.
