Please know that the Malone University family is keeping Olive’s family in our thoughts and prayers. She was truly “salt and light” to countless Malone faculty, staff, students and alumni throughout her years as student, alumna, staff member and the wife of President Emeritus Byron Osborne.
Olive’s warm and caring ways brought encouragement to so many of us. I will always remember her delightful laugh and glowing countenance. Olive’s life was a beautiful reflection of the love, joy and peace of her Savior.
On a personal note, when I faced a difficult circumstance as a young mother, Olive took the time to counsel me and encourage me. She shared her testimony of God’s faithfulness in a similar situation. I was touched by her compassion and still treasure her wise counsel.
Our loss is Heaven’s gain! May God bless, comfort and strengthen you all.
