Dear gramps, you were such an amazing person in so many ways that it is impossible for me to write everything down here but I am going to just describe a few reasons. Well, you were the man, such a great and loving dad, husband of grandma, and of course a wonderful grandpa. I have so many memories with you, going to Disney World, coming to visit you in Florida, going fishing, watching sports, eating sooo much watermelon and sweet corn on the cob and every time you would say “this is the best corn I have ever sunk my teeth into” and “that spit the hot”, you asking me every single time how “Petunia” (the name of my girlfriends apparently) is, waking me up way too early of course and way way more! I hope that one day I am half the man you were as my dad says as well. You lived a great life, 87 years old!! You old fart! Spending the time in Willard that we all had in your honor was so great. As my mom said I know you were looking down on all of us and I know that I will too see you again:) I will be here to take care of grandma, as will the whole family and those you touched. You will be missed by so many people. I will make sure to pass down your old sayings that were so darn funny. You basically replaced the word yes from your vocabulary to “toot.” Cough drops? Makes way more sense to call them “tickies” right? Actually almost everything is a ticky to you! You were funny that’s for sure, as far as you know. As I was looking at you resting in your casket shedding my tears of love to you, I did what you always did and gave you a kiss on the forehead and just a little pinch “tsss tsss.” Anyways, like I said , it would be impossible for me to go on about my memories and ways you have impacted my life!
I love you grandpa with all my heart:),
