I only met Margaret Oney once, about three years ago, but to meet her once was enough to know that she was a caring person who loved her family.
This is a little something I wrote a few years back, and now I wanted to adapt it and post it here for you all to read, because it applies so well to everything I have heard about Margaret.
We know that Margaret is in a better place, and yes, there is sorrow due to her passing. But the sorrow is with us, and for us. We shouldn’t be sad for Margaret; she’s with the Father in paradise! We’re only saddened by the fact that we have to face the remainder of life’s journey without Margaret, not that she’s passed on. I believe that when we pass on, we’ll arrive in Glory at the same moment that Margaret gets there, so she’s not missing us at all. I only say this because when we leave our bodies, we are with Jesus Christ, who is with God who sees the beginning from the end. This means that she is OUTSIDE the confines of time as we know it. Since there is no “time” in paradise, when we pass on and get there, Margaret will have just gotten there too! We are separated from Margaret not just by territorial limits, but because she has stepped through that door that God has promised all who truly believe in Jesus Christ. Now Margaret lives in a world where there is no more pain, no more sorrow and she awaits us there. All we need to understand is that if we trust in Jesus Christ (like I know Margaret did!), we will be with her in Glory. Remember this; death has done all that death can do. I’m reminded of 1 Corinthians 15:55 where it is written “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” As Margaret has gone her way, we’ve been left with the joyful hope she had, which is to see Jesus, up close and personal. In Margaret’s last days, she saw through a glass dimly (as we all do), but now, she sees her savior face to face – Amen!
I can’t wait to see our Lord, the eternal King Jesus Christ! Margaret is so blessed right now.
May The Lord be your guide and may He cause His face to shine upon you.
Peace be with you.
