Dear James Arthur & Family,
For my brother Joe David Martin and myself I want to express our sympathy to you. It was indeed sad for us to hear of the death of our cousin Bernice. She was a fun cousin to have. She used to babysit for us. She used to make us cookies. We have fond memories of her.
When our mother died (your great aunt Rebecca Turner Martin) she came to Kentucky for the funeral. One of my very good memories of her is going out to breakfast with her and Dora Jean the morning after Mother’s funeral.
Bernice will live on in our hearts and minds as a loving and caring person.
