Just heard about Sam while waiting for a train loaded with windmill blades at Greenwich. Sam would’ve been pretty excited about that one ! Sam felt he was recording history with every train he filmed, narrating the particulars as they rolled by, because everything changes. Knowing Sam for 7 or 8 years as a trackside acquaintance, I always looked forward to seeing him because he sure made it fun and interesting. God bless you, Sam, you will be missed.
