What a special lady! I was fortunate enough to have “Mrs. Poljak” as a math teacher in Seventh, Eighth and Tenth grades. Every time I go past Poljak Field in Howe, it reminds me of how lucky I was to have her in my life. She never raised her voice in the classroom, but always had it under complete control.
