Mildred Lucille Sheely, age 102, of Willard, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the Willows at Willard in Willard, Ohio. She was born on August 17, 1915, in Chicago Junction, to the late Jay Elmer and Mary Belle (Frye) Rex. Mildred was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Willard.
She is survived by four grandchildren, Kay Carr of Willard, Sandy Mullins of Shelby, Chris Lofland of Cleveland and Lori Garcia of New Haven; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jay Elmer and Mary Belle Rex; her first husband, Chester Lofland and her second husband, Marion Sheely; her son Ron Lofland, her daughter Ruth Kranz; and a brother, Raymond Rex.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Thursday, June 14, 2018, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, with the funeral service at 1:00 PM with Rev. Darlene Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Willard or Stein Hospice of Sandusky.
