Alfreda M. Smith, age 41, of Keefer St., Willard, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006 at the Willard Mercy Hospital. She was born Sept. 5, 1964 in Willard to Barbara (Hampton) Smith and the late Alfred C. Smith and had lived in Columbus for 15 years, before moving back to Willard in 2001. She worked for the State of Ohio while in Columbus. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Willard, where she was a trustee. She graduated from Willard High School in 1982 and from the University of Toledo in 1986.
She is survived by her son, Teague A. Henderson of Willard; mother, Barbara (Hampton) Smith of Willard; several aunts, uncles and cousins; dear friend, Jeanette Burkhardt of Attica, who donated her a kidney on Oct. 24, 2005.
She is preceeded in death by her father, Alfred C. Smith; paternal grandparents, Alfred & Ellen Smith; maternal grandparents, Phil & Marjorie Hampton; 2 cousins, Bryant Hampton and Randy Durr.
Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where the funeral service will be Sat. at 11:00 A.M., with Minister Merlyn J. Ruffin and Rev. Tommie Carter officiating. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Willard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Teague’s education. www.secorfuneralhome.com
