Alice E. Smith, age 94, of Crestwood St., Willard, passed away Wed., Feb. 16, 2005 at the Willard Mercy Hospital. She was born July 25, 1910 in Veroqua, WI, lived in Chicago, IL from 1935-1957 and in Willard since 1957. She graduated in 1932 from the University of Wisconsin with a BA in Education. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Willard. She had retired from Trabert & Hoeffer Jewelry Store in Chicago, IL
She is survived by nephews John Marshall Sorenson, Jr. of Tomahawk, WI; Peter Michael Sorenson of Fort Myers, FL; David Edward Sorenson of Asheville, N.C., and James Douglas Sorenson of Ashland, OH; a niece, Carol Agnew of Fort Myers, FL; grand-nephews John Marshall Sorenson III and Steven Sorenson of Denver, CO, Marshall Sorenson of Fort Myers, FL; a grand-niece, Meredith Sorenson of Ashland, OH; and Tessa Sussner, of MN; and her adopted family of Dave & Sally Frye and children of Willard, OH.
She is preceeded in death by her husband, Howard Smith who died in 1980; her parents, Adolph E. & Otelia (Tollefson) Sorenson; sister, Lee Nordseth and brother, John M. Sorenson.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Willard, OH.
There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 10:30 A.M. at the First United Church in Willard with Rev. Ken Gifford officiating.
