Andrew L. "Andy" Fried, age 51, of Willard, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at the Mercy Hospital of Willard. He was born February 11, 1968 in Shelby, Ohio. Andy graduated from Willard High School in 1986 where he was a pitcher on the baseball team. He went on to Tiffin University where he also was a pitcher for the Dragons. He worked for the Norfolk and Southern Railroad. Andy was a sports enthusiast that followed the Cleveland Indians, Ohio State and the Cincinnati Bengals. He was known to his friends as "Bundy" and he spent Wednesday nights around a poker table sharing laughter and stories with lifelong friends. Andy will be remembered by family and friends in loyalty, strength and generousity.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa (Gough) Fried; 3 children, Maisee J. Fried of Norwalk, Megan S. Fried of Willard and Andrew "A.J." Fried of Willard; brother, Randy (Sara) Fried of Willard; 3 sisters, Nicole (Todd) Jones of Willard, Michelle (Eric) Stephens of Willard and Tamara (Dave) Urie of Willard; father, Larry (Shelvey) Fried of Willard; mother, Pamela (Ron) Fazio-Chandlee of Willard; step-father, Richard Fazio of Plymouth; father and mother-in-law, Raymond (Carol) Gough; grandmother-in-law, Violet Back of Norwalk; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by grandparents, Herschel (Dorothy) Fried and Paul (Patricia) Howell.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio and where the funeral service will be Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Bradley Stacy officiating. Burial will follow at the Myers Cemetery west of Shelby, Ohio on St. Rte. 39. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.
