Anna Marie Niedermier, age 70, of New Washington, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 at her home, following a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born August 24, 1941 in Shelby, Ohio to the late Clarence and Gertrude (Nedolast) Kimmel. She retired from AMF Inc. in Richmond, Virginia where she was an Administrative Assistant. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and a graduate of Clayton College, as a practicing family Herbolist. She enjoyed making homemade soap, basket weaving and knitting.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Niedermier, whom she married September 5, 1959; 6 children, Mark (Karen) Niedermier of Denver, CO, Brian Niedermier of Port Angeles, WA, Dave (Nancy) Niedermier of Plymouth, OH, Randy (Dawn) Niedermier of Akron, OH, Craig (Mary Beth) Niedermier of Sylvania, OH and Nicola Dye of Tiro, OH; 9 grandchildren; 4 sisters, Diane Cover of Hay Springs, NE, Linda (Ronald) Wentz of Catawba, OH, Carleen (Gary) Solze of Bucyrus,OH and Debra (Lon) Kinn of Bucyrus, OH; 6 brothers, Larry (Mary) Kimmel of Mansfield, OH, Kenneth (Carol) Kimmel of Shelby, OH, David (Elaine) Kimmel of Tiro, OH, Pete Kimmel of New Washington,OH, Benedict (Becky) Kimmel of Tiro, OH and Steven Kimmel of New Washington, OH and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 grandsons, 2 sisters, Mary Ann Hosey and infant sister, Patricia Kimmel and a brother, Daniel Kimmel.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington, Ohio. The funeral mass will be Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Bernard Catholic Church in New Washington, Ohio with Fr. Eric Culler officiating. Burial will be at the St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in New Washington, Ohio. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com
