Araminda Kiess, age 74, of New Washington, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. She was born on January 11, 1941 to the late Antonio and Guadalupe (Valdez) Martinez. She was a graduate of Carey High School and was a former employee of the Wyandot Co. Home and Hillside Acres Nursing Home. She was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church, a foster mother for 10 years and a former Buckeye Central cheerleader advisor.
She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Kiess, whom she married on February 4, 1961; two sons, Charles Kiess of Fremont, and Steven Kiess of New Washington; three grandchildren, Nikole Kiess of Fremont, Jasper Kiess of Beatrice, NE, and Danny Paramore of Willard; two great grandchildren, Jocelyn Fiero and Anna Marie Paramore; one brother, Virgil A. Martinez of TX; two sisters, Hilda McGown of Upper Sandusky, and Minerva Marie Snyder of Naples, FL.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Heidi Marie Paramore and one sister, Olga Miller.
Friends may call at St. Bernard Catholic Church in New Washington, Ohio on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM where the funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM with Father Eric Culler officiating.
