Arvilla M. Karl, age 86, resident of Shelby, passed away Wed., March 23, 2005 at the MedCentral Hospital in Shelby. She was born on March 3, 1919 in New Washington, Ohio, to the late Edward and Louisa (Durnwald) and had been a resident of New Washington and Plymouth all of her life. She was a member of the Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in North Auburn, OH, where she was a member of the Alter Rosary Society.
She is survived by two sons, Edward Karl Jr. of Collins and Ronald Karl of Powell, OH; two daughters, Bernice Randall of Shelby and Mrs. Leslie (Karen) Eckstein of Tiro; one daughter-in-law, Therese Steinman of Tiro, OH; 12 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 1 step great grandchild; 3 brothers, Virgil Kreim of Tiffin, John Kreim of New Washington and Gerald Kreim of New Washington; and 3 sisters, Esther Kreim and Catherine Kempf of Shelby and Delores Tackett of Willard. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Vincent Karl whom she wed on July 11, 1942; her parents, Edward and Louisa (Durnwald) Kreim; two sons, Bernard and Clement Karl; and 2 brothers, Joseph and Richard Kreim and a sister Arlene Bechtel.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5-8 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington. The Funeral Mass will be Monday at 10:30 AM at the Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in North Auburn, with Fr. Robert Dendinger officiatiing. Burial will be at the Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery in North Auburn. Memorials may be made to the Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church.
