Here’s a man would of liked to have added more pages to the story of his life, but like all great stories, there’s always the inevitable ending that leads to the closing of each book, some endings can be good, some endings can be bad and some endings can add more weight to the thoughts embed in the minds of people involved in a chapter of his story. But in these kind of stories only God knows the actual character in the “Life of Austin Mckenzie” for we’re merely entities to a chapter of his book, whether created from him, or merged along side him upon his journeys. A book we don’t have full access to read, but still can learn value from some how some way. To all our understandings God had read a great book about the struggles, devotions, risks, good, bad, imbalances and the sacrifices of Austin Mckenzie. God loved the book so much, that when near the end he decided to take it with him.
In some way this book God now holds has impacted us. Continuing from a family of eighteen, as the third child and a parent leaving behind three children beginning the oldest Peggy Jean Mckenzie, Joyce Lynn Mckenzie and Larry Ray Mckenzie which he is also grandfather to Amber Howell, Jacob Mckenzie, Caleb Mckenzie and Dwight Mckenzie. Passing before him was his son Austin Mckenzie Jr. 2009 and first wife Angeline Thrall 2015. He will be dearly missed by us all and whom ever else was his part of his story.
Family and friends may gather at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Monday, August 28, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Noon, where at Noon everyone is welcome to share a favorite memory that they had with Austin. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.secorfuneralhomes.com
