Barbara Salisbury, age 72, resident of Willard, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2005 in Hillside Acres Nursing Home. She was born on November 9, 1933 in Lima, Ohio to the late Harold and Florence (Routson) Carder and had been a resident of Willard since 1977. A 1951 graduate of Troy High School, Mrs. Salisbury received her teaching certification from Bowling Green State University in 1974. She had taught elementary school in Elyria, McComb, Coshocton and in Willard retiring in 1993 after 25 years of teaching. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Willard.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and David Coe of Birmingham, MI; two sons, Scott Salisbury of Norwalk, OH and Brett Salisbury of Rossford, OH; four grandchildren; two sisters, Sonnie McColloch of Lima, OH; and Sharon Angel of Lima, OH; her step-father, Paul Stout of Lima, OH.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Salisbury on April 13, 2003 and whom she wed on November 11, 1953; a son, Matthew Wesley Salisbury; and her parents.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Sunday from 3-6 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday at the Grace United Methodist Church in Willard with Rev. James Ellis officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Pike Run Cemetery in Gomer, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be made to Grace United Methodist Church
