Barbara Sue Leis, age 79, resident of Attica, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at her home. She was born on October 26, 1946 in Louisa, Kentucky to the late Carl and Betty J. (Patterson) Fluty.

Barb spent the majority of her working career as a cook for area nursing homes and was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Attica.

A woman with a heart of gold, Barb was very giving and making sure those around her were taken care of. The love she had for her family was her reason for living and they in turn loved every memory made with her. Make no mistake, beneath her warm and generous heart was a spark of determination and spunk that lovingly kept everyone around her in line.

Barb is survived by her three children, Frank Webb, Teresa (Dennis) Evans and Drema Steinmetz; three step children, Tony (Norma) Leis, Tom (Lori) Leis and Kristine (Craig) Hahler; five grandchildren, Cheryl (Mike) McNutt, Aaron Ellis, Kevin Belcher, Mackenzie Webb and Alexandria Steinmetz (fiancé, Steven Lepard); numerous great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, Carl “Buck” (Pat) Fluty and Larry (Rosalyn) Fluty; many nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Karen (Kenny) Depinet and Marlene (Eldon) Sealey.

In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Leis who passed away on March 30, 2026; and two brothers, Robert and Terry Fluty.

A graveside service at Attica Venice Cemetery will be announced soon. Secor Funeral Home in Willard is honored to be assisting Barb’s family with her funeral arrangements. Online condolences can be left for her family by visiting www.secorfuneralhomes.com.
