Benjamin J. List, Jr., ‘Pops’ , age 80, of Willard and former Akron resident passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2006 at his home in Sandusky, OH with his family. He was born on September 24, 1925 in New Castle, PA to the late Benjamin, Sr. and Edith (Nowalk) List. Mr. List was a graduate of Bessemer High School and a retired Railroad Policeman from the CSX Railroad. He was a former member of the First Assembly of God Church and the First Presbyterian Church, both in Willard. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Willard Masonic Golden Rule Lodge. A veteran of the US Coast Guard, he served during WWII.
He is survived by daughters, Lisa (Steve) Wooldridge of Salt Lake City, UT; Michelle List of Louisville, KY; Jerilyn (Bill) Walker of Sandusky; sons, Jim (Judy) Ludban of Willard; Bill (Beth) Ludban of Greenwich and Robert (Patricia) Morris of Ider, AL; 20 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean (Allen) List; sons, Mike, David and Tom Ludban; daughter, Joni Hookway; three brothers, Carl, Paul and Fred List.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where the funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 P.M.with Reverend Kathryn Rhoads officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Memorial expressions can be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Willard.
