John Weiss - Mar 26, 2008

My sympathy goes out to the family of Billy Robinson. Everyone will have difficulty at times, as can be expected, with the loss of a loved one or a friend. During these difficult times, the family needs to embrace each other and help each other as time will help heal the sadness or sorrow with losing a loved one. There are difficult times ahead as you begin to think about Billy not being at the family gatherings, summer events, or the holidays. One must remember though, he will be in your heart, your thoughts and your memories and that will be priceless. Those on earth have to keep in mind though, Billy is at peace now. He no longer has to deal with the pain, the illness, or the hospitals. GOD has taken Billy to the Almighty Heaven and accepted Billy into HIS arms. GOD is watching over the Robinson Family to help each and every one of you during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

Papaw, where do I begin. I could say so much to you right now if I just had one more day with you. I know you are in a much better place and you are no longer in any pain. But I miss you so very much that it hurts so bad. You were like my dad and that is how I will always remember you. You were truly the most amazing man that I ever knew. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the generous amount of love you showed me over the years and the values of life that you taught me. You taught me so much and I love you even more for that. I will try my hardest to raise my kids the way you taught not only me, but my whole family as well. So Papaw, you go rest now without anymore pain and I know that we will meet again someday soon. I will love you and miss you each and every day of my life. I LOVE YOU!!!

Growing up my dad always used to say “I’ve only known three ‘real’ men in my life. My father, my grandfather and Billy Ray Robinson.” It wasn’t until I was older that I ever completely understood that. I never grew up thinking that I didn’t have a grandfather even though my paternal and maternal grandfathers had passed. Papaw Bill & Mamaw Linda showed me enough love to last a lifetime. He was the greatest grandfather God could have ever given me. Papaw, thank you for loving me as if I were your own and for showing me what a true christian man really is. Your love for all of us and your love for Mamaw was nothing short of amazing. I’ll carry all of my memories with me forever. You truly were one of the best men I’ll ever know. So, go get some rest Papaw… walk the streets of gold and we’ll see you soon!

Stephanie Jones - Mar 23, 2008

I already miss you so much Papaw and it’s only been 1 day. I wish you were still here with all of us. Today is Easter and it’s not the same without you. But we know that you are in Heaven walking around with Grandma and watching over us. I love you so much and can’t wait to see you again.

I wanted to share with you, one of my favorite memories of my Uncle Billy. I was just out of high school and I moved from Florida to Ohio and when I was going to visit him, he had asked me what type of car I drove and when I said something other than a Ford, you know what happened next… he said, “if it’s not a Ford, you can’t park it in my driveway, you will have to park it up the hill”. He was serious too… but it was snowing so he ended up letting me park near the driveway. Thanks Uncle Billy, I will never forget you and I will always love you. Hopefully you will all think of some of your favorite memories to celebrate the life of an amazing Husband, Father, Papaw, Brother, Uncle and Friend.
