Brian Scott Velker, age 38, of Tennessee, passed away Friday, April 2, 2010 at his home in Tazewell, TN. He was born April 8, 1971 in Toledo, Ohio, growing up in Genoa, Ohio, before moving to Tazewell, TN. He graduated from Genoa High School in 1990 and then went on to graduate from Owens Community College. Brian was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. He enjoyed his family and most of all his 2 daughters.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Cristina and Allison Velker; parents, Al & Vickie Velker; brother, Jeff (Kim) Velker; grandfather, Christian Capelle; special friend, Traci Fuller and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gladys & Edward Velker; maternal grandmother, Alma T. Capelle.
There will be a rosary on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 6:30 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio with visitation to follow. There will be a funeral mass on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard, Ohio, with Fr. Cletus Pifher officiating. Burial will follow at the Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery in North Auburn, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
