Calvin George Beach, age 72, of 677 Willowcrest Lane, Galion, formerly of New Washington, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the Galion Community Hospital after a long illness. He was born on November 4, 1938 in Crestline, Ohio to Farence R and and Sylvia Gladys (Lauer) Beach. Calvin retired from Mansfield Brass after 44 years of service. He was a member of Moose Lodge 303. He liked to watch the Cleveland Indians.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann (Argo) Beach, whom he married February 10, 1961; 2 daughters, and son-in-law, Laura Johnson of Michigan and Lisa (Carlos) Gollihue of Galion and a son, Larry L. Beach of Bucyrus; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; brother, Farence Junior Beach of Galion and lots of nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, John Argo of Arizona and a sister-in-law, Betty Griffin of Columbus, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother Louis William Beach and 3 sisters-in-law, Josephine Beach, Louise Jones and Mary Shifley and a granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 17, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington where the funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday. Burial will be at the Crawford County Memorial Gardens in Crestline, Ohio. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.
