Carolyn J. Van Loo, age 64, resident of rural Plymouth, passed away on Monday morning, December 19, 2005 at her home. She was born on December 16, 1941 in Willard to the late Joseph and Mary (Androsac) Carney and had been a life long Willard/Plymouth resident. A 1961 graduate of Willard High School, she had been employed for over 30 years with the former Pioneer Rubber Company in Willard and retired from MidWest Industries in Shelby. She is a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Willard, a former member of the Plymouth American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed gardening and feeding wild birds.
She is survived by her husband, Joel Van Loo, whom she wed February 25, 1967; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Suzanne Krabill; Geraldine and Paul Weiss; Diann and Frank Anderson all of Willard; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Jack and Betty Carney of Willard; and Joseph Carney of North Fairfield; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ruth and Alfred Sharp of Willard; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, William Krabill, Sr. and Raymond Van Loo; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harry and Martha Van Loo; a niece, Kimberly Long.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Reverend James Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Memorial expressions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
