Christopher "Chris" Runkle, age 53, of Plymouth, Ohio, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. Chris fought a brave battle with cancer for over six months. Chris was born December 8, 1967 in Anchorage, Alaska to Carlton "Joe" and Dorothy (Predieri) Runkle. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his twin brother, Craig and sister-in-law, Carla. Also surviving are two sons, Jeffrey and Jason, three nieces and two great nieces, and special friend, Jeni.
Chris was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Elsie Predieri and paternal grandmother, June Chandonia.
Chris loved to ride his Harley, fishing and hunting, especially the hunting trip where he bagged a buck with his bow. He also loved all sports and especially enjoyed the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. Chris graduated from Tiffin University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He worked for 20 years at RR Donnelleys/LSC Communications, until his illness prevented him from returning to work. He was a pressman at the time he left LSC.
Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio is assisting the family with funeral arrangements and due to the COVID pandemic, there will be a private funeral for Chris. Anyone wishing to make a donation in his memory, may make it to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Plymouth or to Stein Hospice in Sandusky.
