Clara Durham, age 99, of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 5, 1926 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the late Richard Wright and Victoria (Newton) Taylor. Clara worked at Pioneer Rubber Company, Timken Company, and was proud to be a mother and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, cooking, and most of all, she loved time with her family.
She is survived by two sons, Van Durham III of Willard, Ohio; Charles A. Durham of Bucyrus, Ohio; a daughter, Catherine (David) Cantrell of Detroit, Michigan; 16 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Van Durham Jr.; daughter, Mary Louise Hoke; three sons, Richard L. Durham, Thomas E. Durham, and Albert Durham; sisters, Clementine Poole and Mary Ellen Poole; and brothers, Noah Taylor and John Taylor Jr.
Clara’s family would like to thank all who have offered prayers and condolences for their mother during this difficult time.
