Clara I. Moore, age 82, of Willard, Ohio passed away Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Willard Mercy Hospital in Willard, Ohio. She was born March 6, 1931 in Moorehead, Kentucky to the late Walter A. and Rosa M. (McDaniel) Jones and was a life long resident of Shelby and Willard. She was formerly employed at the Ideal Laundry in Willard. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and word puzzles.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Pamela Slone and Joni (David) Leitz, both of Willard; son, Donald (Debbie) Moore of Harker Heights, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Jason Moore, Rachel Rice, John D. Leitz, Joseph Leitz and Jerod Leitz; 2 great grandsons, Ian Moore and Korbin Moore and one great granddaughter, Madison Leitz; 2 sisters, Merrill Lowe of Moorehead, KY and Thelma Jones of Cynthiana, KY.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Monroe “Greene” Moore, whom passed away June 24, 2006; parents, Walter and Rosa Jones; sister, Hildreth Jones and 2 brothers, John Paul Jones and Quinton Jones.
Visitation will be Friday, June 28, 2013 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio where the funeral service will be Friday at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Danny Hamilton officiating. Burial will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the family or to the American Heart Association.
