Corrine Courter, age 90, of Plymouth, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, September, 10, 2026, at OhioHealth Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio. She was born on October 2, 1935, in Crawford County, Ohio, to the late Eugene and Virginia (Charlton) Tupps. Corrine worked as a book keeper for her husband’s business, Crestline Wood Products, and retired from Plymouth Locomotive where she was an accountant. Her most precious occupation was being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker.
Corrine was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plymouth where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a member of the Moose, Woman’s Auxilliary of the Plymouth American Legion, and she sang on the radio at age 4. She was an avid sports fan of the Cleveland teams and OSU Buckeyes, a great cook, and loved to garden and tend to her flowers.
She is survived by her children, Michelle (Jym) Quitter of Delaware, Ohio and Craig Courter of Willard, Ohio; grandchildren, Michael Quitter (Sarai Park), Megan Quitter (Scott Letezia), Devan Quitter (BJ Nelson), Cody (Beth) Courter and Nathan Quitter; great-grandchildren, Izack, Adriahnna, Rosemary, Lotus, Logan, Robert, Fern, Emeline, Charlie, and one on the way; sisters-in-law, Jean Tupps Blackford and Linda Laipply, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John E. “Jack” Courter whom she married on May 13, 1956; a brother, Byron Tupps; brothers-in-law, John Blackford, Jerry Laipply and Lynn Courter; and parents-in-law, Mildred and Paul Courter.
Visitation will be at Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM where her funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jeremy Lambert officiating. Burial will take place at Crawford County Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plymouth.
