Curtis Lee Handshoe, age 33, resident of Plymouth, passed away on April 30, 2009 at his home. He was born on January 9, 1976 in Willard, Ohio, to Claude and Gaylene (Sexton) Handshoe and has been a life long Willard/Plymouth resident. He is a 1994 Plymouth High School graduate and attended the Victory Temple Church of God. He was employed with the Timken Co. in Bucyrus. He loved hunting, fishing, taxidermy, gardening, playing the guitar and music. He was a very loving husband and father.
He is survived by his parents; his wife, Tammy (Evans) Handshoe; one daughter, Autumn Handshoe; one step-son, Ethan Oney; two sisters, Carla Armstrong of Plymouth, Ohio and Katie (Rogelio Jr.) Alonso of Brecksville, Ohio; mother-in-law, Louise Evans of Willard; and father-in-law, Steven Evans of Wolcottville, IN.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Barry Handshoe; paternal grandparents, Carrie and Vince Handshoe; maternal grandparents, Grace Hoskins and Milford Sexton.
Friends may call on Monday, May 4, 2009 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Victory Temple Church of God in Celeryville, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the church on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Earl Sexton officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to be used for his daughter’s education. I was deeply saddened to hear of Curt’s passing. I graduated with him fom Plymouth in 1994. Although I haven’t seem him much in the last few years, I will always remember him in my heart for all the smiles he put on my face with his outstanding personality and humor. Tammy I am so sorry for your heart break. Just put your faith in god he will see you through the hardest times in your life. Just remember only the good die young so we now know why Curt had to go.
