When I arrived aboard the Sturvenent at Cove Springs Florida, the ship was being prepared to being operational. That is when I met Dale, he was from Willard , me from Shelby. We had many “liberties” together and located many dancing areas. We returned to Newport R.I. on his Harley Davidson motorcycle after our “leave” of 15 days. He was very upbeat.
I treasured his friendship.
