Daryl I. Dawson, age 90, of Willard, Ohio went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 24, 2025. He was born December 16, 1934 to the late Herbert and Berneice Dawson.
He worked at Midwest Industries for 47 years where he was loved and called Doc. He loved fishing and traveling in his younger years. His favorite place was Hawaii where he took his mom and dad twice and his sister once. He also loved the Willard Flashes and seldom missed a basketball game. When he could no longer drive his nephew Gary Mason came from Tiffin to pick him up and take him to the games.
Daryl was a faithful man who loved the Lord and served his people. He set a beautiful example of what fellowship in Christ looks like. He was a member of the Church of the Master and a Deacon at one time. He loved his church family.
Daryl was a quiet man but then he had no choice being raised with four sisters.
He is survived by two sisters Reva Mason of Tiffin and Alice Owens of Willard, three niece's Dian (Jon Ewald), Viola Longwell and Tami Salyer and five nephew's Gary (Pam Mason), Dan (Ollie Mason), Richard (Barb Hopple), Joe (Connie Rohrbach), Robert W. Owens. He is preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Berneice Dawson, his sister and brother-in-law Dolores and Loyal Hopple, sister Opal Rohrbach, brother-in-law Gene Mason, brother-in-law Robert W. Owens, a nephew Ronald Mason and a niece Rene' Clinger.
We want to thank all of the wonderful staff at The Willows in Willard. You all became his family.
