Dean A. Moorman, age 74, resident of Plymouth and former resident of the Shelby-Ashland area, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2005 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a lenghty illness. He was born on July 29, 1930 in Shelby, Ohio to the late Donald L. and Autha M. (Laser) Moorman and had been a resident of Plymouth the last 50 years. He was a printing pressman for Miami Systems in Shelby when he retired. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Plymouth. He enjoyed golfing in his later years, and he loved his children and grandchildren. A veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Marie (Mumea) Moorman whom he married May 1, 1954; two daughters, Deborah Mulholand of Columbus and Terri and Garry Bisel of Shiloh; one son, Dale and Jodi Moorman of Xenia; 8 grandchildren, Joshua Brown, Joanna Brown, Jonathon Brown, Matthew Hairston, Bethany Hairston, Megan Moorman, Dana Moorman and Nicholas Moorman; one sister, Mary and Harry Nixon of Shelby; one brother, Donald and Martha Moorman of Shiloh; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio on Thursday from 5-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Plymouth on Friday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Linda Heinaman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth. Memorial expressions can be made to the American Heart Fund or the Memorial Fund at the First Presbyterian Church in Plymouth.
