Don Featheringill, age 69, past resident of Willard and current resident of Woodruff, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. He was born on February 5, 1956 in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Willis and Lucille (Wadams) Featheringill.

A 1974 graduate of Seneca East High School, Don worked numerous jobs locally, most notably at RR Donnelley and Sons, Armatrout Sanitation, Thunder Wheels Skating Rink and he was a volunteer for the Willard Fire Department and EMT. While living in South Carolina, he worked for 84 Lumber.

In his spare time, Don could be found hosting pinball tournaments with his friends or working around his farm. He was a master griller and smoker of meat who loved to be on the search for Big Foot. During Ohio’s winter months, Don loved to sit back with his Diet Coke and call his family from South Carolina to ask how much snow was on the ground. Don will be greatly missed by both his Ohio and South Carolina family and friends.

Don is survived by his wife, Kelley (Frederick) Featheringill who he married on March 6, 1998; four children, Laura Featheringill Postell (Tommy Beatty), Michael (Jessica) Featheringill, Ricky (Lydia) Featheringill and Jeffery (Dusty) Pauley; three grandchildren, Izabel Featheringill, MJ Featheringill and Barrett Pauley; five siblings, Judy Schmelzer, Jan Poths, Bill Featheringill, Dennis (Chris) Featheringill and Mary Lewis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles “Chuck” Featheringill and Kenny (Pat) Featheringill.

A gathering will be held at Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. A reception will follow the visitation at the Willard Senior Center. Memorial contributions can be made to Willard Food Bank. Online condolences can be left for his family by visiting www.secorfuneralhomes.com.

It saddens me to hear of Don’s passing, we started kindergarten the same year at Attica snd graduated together from Seneca East, a friend throughout. He was one I missed at recent reunions. It is with disappointment that we will not be able to pay respects in person, ironically spending that week in SC with family.

Don’s passing will leave such a big mark on all of his friend’s groups. From his involvement cooking, for years, with The Holy Smokers @ Brookwood Church to his presence cheering us all on @ the Horse Shows to his competitive, but good-spirited, game play with his pinball family. Don was very involved in our community & was well-loved by everyone. Prayers for Kelley & Family as we all navigate this “new” normal here in SC without his dry wit & humor. We love 💕 you, Don.
