Todd Jones - May 27, 2014

My deepest condolences go out to the Polachek family. Today, was the saddest of days. I would have never expected to see this day. A father should never have to bury his son. I know today was the toughest of days. I left John with a handshake, and saw the sadness in his face. For many years, Eddie was in the lives of myself and my family in some way, shape, or form. We fished like we were professionals, owned that reservoir for many years. I was with him when he shot his very first deer (and left him to dress it) came back an hour later to find, as tough as he was, he couldn’t do it. He left me a deer to dress, and 5 puke piles to walk around. You left the plug out of the boat one night at the reservoir and about drowned us. We fought like brothers, but in the end, friends will always be friends. You were always there…I figured you always would be. This was just not the right end! Gone but never forgotten brother……..

We can’t even believe that we are writing a condolence on here for you Eddie. This is the last thing we ever thought we would do. You have been Tonys best friend since 2nd grade and I can’t even remember when I met you. I know it was a long time ago. You were always there for us when nobody else was. We are gonna miss you so much. Wish we could have done more for you. Rip our dear friend. We love you.

Eddie, I am still in shock over your passing. You have always been a great friend, and was there for me during one of the darkest time in my life. You never left my side over that summer of 1993, and because of you I went on and am here today, I only wish I could have been there for you in the same way you was there for me. You will be missed by many. You were more than a friend, you was so much more. Rest easy my brother, until we meet again someday. Gone, but never forgotten. Love ya……
