Doris A. Shupp, age 90, resident of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Willard Healthcare Center. She was born on February 7, 1922 in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania to the late A. Donald and Marie (Steneger) Ackard. Doris was a co-owner of Shupp’s Hardware in Willard. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Willard. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was an avid reader.
Doris is survived by her son, Wayne (Judy) Shupp of Willard; four grandchildren, Rodney (Deb) Shupp of New London, Steven (Kendra) Shupp of New London, Corinthia Shupp of Centerburg, Ohio, and Wyatt Shupp of Willard; five great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews; and one daughter-in-law, Margaret Shupp.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy E. Shupp, whom she married on May 9, 1946 at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania; one son, Keith Shupp; two brothers, Charles and Donald Ackard; and one sister, Florence Rodgers.
Friends may call on Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at Noon, where Rev. Roger Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Willard. In leiu of flowers, donations can be made to Stein Hospice of Sandusky, The Ronald McDonald House or Trinity Lutheran Church. Aunt Doris has been a part of my life for over seventy-seven years. We shapred a room during World War II. We have continued to be close even though we were not close geographacally. I loved reveiving her letters. She was so dear to me. She supported me during my cancer treatments with her letters. I know she is a peace and with her Lord. God Bless. Ginger

We are so sorry for your loss. Aunt Doris was very dear to me. I look back on our visits with fondness. She was such a great cook! After mmom passed away, I enjoyed talking to Aunt Doris for many reason but one of them was that her voice sounded just like moms.
