Dorothy E. Wenner, age 96, resident of Willard, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2006 in Hillside Acres Nursing Home in Willard. She was born on November 7, 1909 in Seneca County, Ohio to the late Charles and Theresa (Hepp) Alt and had been a resident of Willard most of her life. She worked at Pioneer Rubber Company for many years as a balloon typesetter. She was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard and a former member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary in Willard.
She is survived by three daughters, Perma Shininger of Willard, Donna Snook of Willard, and JoAnne Kaylor of Willard; two sons, Carl Wenner of Lake Mary, FL and Michael Wenner of Willard; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl A. Wenner; her parents, Charles and Theresa (Hepp) Alt; one grandson, Doug Snook; one sister, Kathleen Merrill; and two brothers, Arthur Alt and Judson Alt.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Friday, August 4, 2006 from 6-9 PM with a rosary service at 8:30 PM. Funeral mass will be held at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at 1:00 PM with Father Stanley S. Szybka officiating. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven. Memorial expressions may be made to the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church or to the Alzheimers Association.
