Dortha Bores, age 82, of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Toledo St. Vincent’s Hospital. She was born on November 20, 1929 in Morgan County, Kentucky to the late Press Taulbee and Mabel (Gullett) Taulbee Newell. Dortha was a member of the Women of the Moose in Willard. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and with her kids and grandkids. She loved her cat and dog.
Dortha is survived by her daughter, Becky (Bill) Kidd of New Haven; five grandchildren, Noel (Michelle) Kidd, Tiffanee Jewell, Amanda Kidd, Matthew Durbin and John Durbin; 18 great grandchildren; two sisters, Janis Dodd of Chicago, Illinois and Bess Bogner of Louisville, Kentucky; one brother, Steve Chronister of Florida; and three sisters-in-law, Leota Haupricht and Lillian Bores, both of Willard, and Shirley Taulbee of Plymouth.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John David Bores; daughter, Terry (Hedden) Durbin; two grandsons, Heath Kidd and Chad Hedden; and one great grandson, Kyle Jewell.
Friends may call on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 23, 2012 at the Church of God on Willard West Road at 11:00 AM with Rev. Noel Kidd officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. I miss you Maime! I love you so much!! I still am having a hard time coping with you being gone. You are the most Amazing and Spectacular woman I ever knew, and am honored to be your grandson! you have taught me so many wonderful things in my life, and you always loved me no matter what!! I will miss your “take no crap” attitude that you glowed with. we have SO many wonderful memories….one of my most cherished memories is when Buddy and I came to visit you last. I LOVE AND MISS you so much, give Papaw and My mom a kiss for me. there are so many things that I want to say, but I dont know where to begin…..for now, I LOVE YOU says it all.
So sorry to hear of Dortha’s passing – I worked with Dortha at K&H Drugstore and she was always pleasant to work with. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers
Becky & Bill, sorry for the passing of Dortha. She is watching over you all and will still surround you with her love. She will live on in your memories and remember you will be reunited one day. She maybe gone here on Earth but she is waiting for the day just as you are for the wonderful reunion.

Bill, Becky and family, I would like to express my sympathy in this time of sorrow. Dortha welcomed many into her home when we were young. We enjoyed sitting around the table talking and laughing!!! God Bless all of you!!!!
Becky and family..so sorry to hear of Dortha’s passing. Always enjoyed seeing her and remembering all the fun I had with you and Terry when we were kids when you lived on Main St. Keith and I always enjoyed seeing her and John after we moved back to Willard. She was great..praying for you and the family.
