Douglas C. Gearheart, age 79 of Willard, Ohio passed away Friday, October 24, 2025 at the Country Meadows Nursing Center in Bellville, Ohio. He was born December 21, 1945 in Floyd County, KY to the late Raymond and Dovie (Handshoe) Gearheart. Douglas graduated from Garrett High School in Kentucky in 1964 and was a Vietnam Veteran. He served in the US Army and was a member of the Willard VFW and Moose. He enjoyed fishing, reading and his cat Curtis.
He is survived by his wife Maria (Garcia) Gearheart whom he married December 24, 1964 and son Stan (Gena) Gearheart and 6 grandchildren Kendra, Kameron, Chloe, Christian, Taylor and Joe; 5 great grandchildren and sister Deborah Howell and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Dovie Gearheart and daughter Christina Gearheart; 2 sisters, Geneva Baldridge and Wanda Sue Jones; 3 brothers, Quintin Gearheart, Glenn Gayheart and Randall Gearheart.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at the Church of God in Willard, Ohio from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with a dinner to follow. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.
